Click to enlargeWhen eDOT opens its Workers' Comp edition, the types and number of tabs shown will vary depending on the state you selected. Typically, a state will have the following tabs: Jobs, Xwalk, Job Analysis Form, Initial Claim Form and eDOT Job Analysis Form, and State Bureau (which takes the user to the local website for Workers' Compensation). However, California has an extra tab - CA Disability Rating - which this tutorial will discuss in detail.

We'll begin by looking at the first main tab of the Workers' Comp - California edition. Called Jobs, this tab lets you select a single position, the Current Job. Right now there is no job selected. So we'll have to change that.

Here's how:

  • Step 1: Click on the position title bar.

  • Step 2: The 'Enter New Position' dialog box opens. You can scroll through the position list to find the job title OR begin typing in the position title. We'll type in "Cab Driver" as an example.

  • Step 3: Once this position is highlighted, click the OK button to return to the Jobs / Current Job tab.
